You might wonder why I would ask for or accept donations. The short answer is, I’m not asking and I’ve resisted accepting but blogging is expensive. My hosting is $200 a year. I pay $108 for an email platform and that is the cheapest I could find. I host a courses website which is another $178 and I recently moved my podcast to a free platform.
If I need technical help, that comes out of my own pocket. I cannot afford to hire anyone to help with graphics, backend support, or any other services I might need.
I have been putting out great content since 2015 in order to educate and encourage those who are suffering from Lyme disease. I’ve loved writing and creating and mostly connecting with each one of you!
Many of my readers don’t even have Lyme disease but they are Christians suffering from chronic illness and desperately in need of faith-based encouragement.
I have resisted adding a donation button to my website and since 2015 have trusted the Lord to provide the income needed to run this blog. I will continue to trust Him. He has faithfully allowed me to earn just enough income from affiliate marketing in order to pay for my expenses.
I have worked very hard creating courses and products to sell in hopes to earn enough money to put towards my expenses. When I put my time and energy towards creating products to sell I then do not have time to write, podcast, or encourage you in other ways.
It takes many hours of my personal time to write, create images, and get my posts out for you to read and I absolutely love it but it will always be put on the back burner if other things come up in life because it’s not profitable. Blogging has been a hobby and a ministry but it’s gotten expensive.
I have not made a profit since the beginning because I do not want to fill the pages of my blog with advertisements that will distract you.
I never want my work here to seem salesy, pushy, or to spend hours on end trying to market products to you. You’re dealing with enough!
In order to keep this blog and the work I do a ministry I decided to provide a way for those who feel led by the Lord to contribute to my work a way to do so.
I’m not asking for money, the Lord always provides! However, if the Lord has laid it on your heart to contribute now you have a way to do so! I’m not a 501.c3 so I cannot give you a tax write off but if you do contribute know that the Lord will bless you for your giving!
I pray this blog and the work I do blesses you (whether you donate or not) and helps you to keep your eyes fixed on the Lord and abounding in hope no matter what trials and difficulties you go through!
May God bless you and fill you with His hope!
