Where Are All the Good Doctors? My Search to Find a Doctor I Can Trust

December 14, 2016 by Tricia 2 Comments

Finding a Good Doctor

I’m looking for a doctor and it hasn’t been easy. I don’t need a Lyme doctor, just a doctor I can go to without fear of being prescribed medication for every ailment or told my cholesterol is bad because I eat eggs and butter. For years I’ve avoided the medical community because I disagreed with […]

Quite Honestly, I Hate Lyme Disease

October 16, 2016 by Tricia 6 Comments

It’s Sunday night, there’s a full Hunter’s Moon tonight and quite honestly I’m more than just a bit overwhelmed! I’ve felt sluggish and tired all week, my kids are complaining of a return of symptoms and everyone has been irritable and argumentative. My little guy has had so much pain this weekend and tonight he […]

September 12, 2016 by Tricia 2 Comments

In the fall of 2009 I was finally diagnosed with chronic Lyme disease and co-infections after a long, frustrating two years visiting different doctors, trying to get a diagnosis for my declining health. While I still have pain off and on, most days I don’t feel so much like a Lymie,  especially since many of […]

Calming the Storm of Anxiety in Your Child

July 21, 2016 by Tricia Leave a Comment

Mother and teen daughter are hugging after quarrel on sofa at home.

Since recently sharing our story with anxiety, I’ve been meeting moms who also have a child with anxiety. I’ve read research stating that there is a rise in anxiety in our children across the nation.
